My Own Chef Catering

Outstanding food! We had MOC cater for our wedding on June 27th. They did an excellent job. Lance was so friendly and helpful. They were so flexible and kind to us. We changed venues and they graciously came and did another walkthrough. We really enjoyed the food during the reception, but we also LOVED eating some of our leftovers for breakfast on the first day of our honeymoon.

The mashed potatoes and sherry sauce are incredible. The chicken was also delicious. It is hard for food cooked in mass quantities to be good, and MOC excels at it. Our wedding cake and grooms cake were also fabulous. I recommend MOC to every hill country gal I know getting married. Reasonably priced and very sweet people! Other area caterers pale in comparison.

These wonderful people catered our wedding on Friday and let me say I am so beyond happy with the overall experience. The food was fantastic (all our guests were talking about it), the cakes were absolutely beautiful and so delicious, and the service they provided far exceeded my expectations. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. I felt as if our wedding was the only event they were currently catering throughout the entire process! So attentive and listened to every single detail and request I made and did it with a smile! Thank you all so very much for making our day so special!

Not only was the service above and beyond, the food was AMAZING! The fajitas were tender and flavorful.the entire party ate seconds AND thirds. And the chocolate mousse cups were the perfect ending to perfect meal. Thank you Vickie.you made our entire trip so special and memorable!

MOC creates phenomenal food and has excellent menu options. They are very talented and the food is steps above what you would normally expect at a wedding. They did a wonderful job accommodating social distancing guidelines and quickly serving everyone at my sister's wedding. My husband loved the chicken and he can be very picky.

MOC catered our daughter's wedding in May. We were pleased with the food & the staff. Friends commented that it was the best "wedding food" they had ever had. Vicky, Darrell. Lance and the entire staff were very accommodating. We have known this group for years and would recommend them for all catering needs.

We were in Fredericksburg for a 3 day Wilbur-Ellis Cotton Reward trip and had 2 wonderful meals served by "My own Chef" owners and crew. Having a bell pepper allergy, I was informed that all was safe to eat for me. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and way of serving! No fast food. but all courses made with fresh ingredients and deliciously cooked and presented.

The staff was super attentive and came constantly by, to see if we were pleased with the food. The chef was very friendly and even give me the recipe of the Brussels sprouts with apples in the oven. A new way of cooking my Brussels sprouts that I tried out as soon I came back home. Result "Delish" and lots of compliments. Thanks! If you need a catering service in the Fredericksburg area, "My own Chef" is definitely the service you need!

Incredible food, incredible service. Everyone was off the charts kind, professional and talented in their culinary craft. They did an AMAZING job for my daughter's April 2019 wedding in Fredericksburg, TX.All of our guests raved about the delicious cuisine. The wedding cake was pure art, and the other cakes were extraordinary. Highly recommend them.

Had the best catered meal ever! The grilled chicken was so tender and moist, the beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection; sauces, sides, and desserts were on point. Will absolutely recommend for your next event!

They catered my wedding and everyone was so impressed by the delicious noms and the outstanding staff. We had hors d'oeuvres - popovers, boursin bites, and venison, and for the main course we had the beef, salmon, quinoa, salad, fire-roasted veggies, and rolls. They were all very good! We also had them do the bartending and that was great too - generous pours and good mixing.

There are some other reviewers who stated difficulty getting a hold of them, but that's probably because they did not give enough time to plan everything. Large dinners take a lot of time, and they did respond to all of my emails, and yes, sometimes it took a few days for a response, but same on my end - people are busy and I gave it a lot of lead time, so everything worked out just fine.

What delicious food, and outstanding customer service! I was just in Fredericksburg for a commercial shoot. With a two-day notice, they provided breakfast and lunch for a hungry crew of 25. Serving breakfast at 5:30am, in a hay field, and offering up hot, perfect Scrambled Eggs, Crispy Bacon, Sausage Patties, Golden Biscuits, with amazing Country Gravy! Needless to say, the crew were all VERY happy!

Then lunch? My goodness. Sliced Pork Loin, Chicken Breast, with a Sherry-Bacon Cream Sauce! Swiss Chard Greens, Mashed Sweet Potato, with super cute rolls. The Desserts were. INCREDIBLE! Highly recommended! Thank you MOC!

I would highly recommend My Own Chef for your next event. They did a fabulous job at my daughter's wedding. Holly is always available if you have a question and is quick to get back with you. Vicki and Darrell are very talented and the food was absolutely amazing. The cake was beautiful and scrumptious!

We used My Own Chef Catering for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. The food was spectacular! All the guests commented on how fresh the ingredient were in the dishes. I particularly enjoyed the fresh garden green beans! And the lavender lemonade was a hit for kids and adults. Please contact My Own Chef Catering for your next event. They will not disappoint! Excellent catering service! Vickie and Darrel cater our daughter's wedding and they were a pleasure to work with. The food and their staff were exceptional. Darrel's pastry skills are amazing! Vickie's chef skills are first class. Highly recommend using them for any size event.

Disappointing meal to say the least. I'm being generous giving 2 stars. We stayed at a fredricksburg Bed and Breakfast and thought this would be a nice alternative to a restaurant. The food was sub par.my husband ordered the "filet" and I'm not sure what cut of meat it was but did not taste anything like a filet. I got salmon and both tasted as if they were frozen meals. Staff was very nice but sooooo not worth the cost -AT ALL.

The food was soggy and not good. The brisket was wet but still dry on the inside. It defied logic.

Sad to say that the catering company my own chef did not even get close to what one expects. The idea is neat, and I was really hoping that it would be mind blowing, but it wasn't. I would not recommend their products, or service. They illegally charge a 4% fee for using a CC and their food was sub-par. Not only was sub-par, but they also sold some meat for filet mignon, and was obviously not filet. Next time I prefer to take my own stove and cook a romantic dinner myself.

FIVE Star Catering We're amazed at every event we've attended over the last 15 yrs that is catered by My Own Chef. The Chef owner's are true Texas Hill Country Culinary legends to the locals, jet set and stars. They have catered to us on long week-ends at local B&B's, weddings and corporate events. They have a brand new kitchen and office built from the ground up, a must see place while food and cake tasting.
