This place never dissapoints. While only open Saturday for fresh bbq, the quality and friendliness will carry you over until next weekend. I'm always so impressed with the teamwork and efficiency they serve each guest with, it's a well oiled machine. Try each type of meat. pork, chicken, brisket on a sandwich and top with different styles sauces. When you really want to bust a gut, grab a side of homemade mac and cheese. Thinking about my lunch is giving me food coma. If you've always just passed by, be sure to give it a try and support a local business.

Blooming glen provided our wedding with wonderful and appetizing catering. The food was delicious and the service was even better. During cocktail hour, the staff kindly offered hor derves to the guests. Everyone got their dinner in an orderly fashion and the staff was very clean and concise. The selection of food offered by blooming glen was outstanding and there was something there for everyone. Guests complimented the diverse spread. Thanks for making our big day that much more special.

Do you like pork? do you like pork products? how about salads? how about fresh BBQ sandwiches? and for those that like venison this is the place to bring you a meat to have it properly processed. this place is fantastic! they are an outrageous business, a wonderful service, they serve wonderful food, and on Saturdays when they do outdoor barbecuing well it is definitely worth stopping by and sampling some of their Delicacies. Everyone there under their employment or just sitting out eating some of their food are friendly and polite. Thumbs up to this operation

They made ordering a few trays of catered food very easy with no fuss. They have a good menu with a lot of options to fit different preferences and budgets. The food was delicious and all of our guests loved it. We frequently stop by the tent on the weekend for lunch and the food is great and the people are friendly. I love their Carolina sauce on pulled pork and my husband loves their chicken and bacon bites.

Pick up a fork and get ready to dig into this one 'cause this review is full of flavor! Blooming Glen Catering, also known as Blooming Glen Pork Products, is, well, a meat-lovers dream come true. On spring- October they hold a huge outdoor tent BBQ when you can pull up and pick up a pork sandwich and an old-fashioned root beer. In the adjacent store, you will find an array of fresh cuts of pork.
You name it, they have it: fresh made bacon, preservative-free scrapple, homemade brats, spiral carved hams, you name it! There's also a freezer full of specialty items, some made by local shops (for example, bacon and cheese pierogies), some are homemade (like soups and dips. There's also a section for dry goods such as rolls, rubs, jerky, chips, etc. There's something for everyone here. I shop regularly for my family. Try the thick cut bacon. It's unbelievably good. (And this review was written by a pescatarian;-)

OMG! After passing this place for years we finally had the idea to try this place. Unbelievable BBQ! We had the 1/2 rack of ribs, an order of the pig wings, and the brisket bowl. From one mouth watering bite to the next this was the most amazing BBQ we have ever had! Fall off the bone, deliciously flavored, melt in your mouth goodness! The brisket bowl is beef brisket (melt in your mouth) topped with they're home made Mac and cheese, then topped with a generous sprinkle of corn bread.
A combo like no other! Great portions for the prices. Go get some! next weekend is their last until spring! The store there sells all kinds of meats and salads as well. overall a great place!

Blooming Glen catered my wedding in August and we were so happy with the work they did! We went with a BBQ menu, with the meats we chose grilled right at our venue. Finalizing a menu was difficult because there were many appealing options, but Meghan, the catering manager, worked with us to find a menu that worked for our tastes and the dietary restrictions of our guests.
The meat tasted fresh and delicious, as did the sides and the appetizer spread we selected. They even decorated the buffet tables beautifully to match our wedding decor. The staff was friendly, professional and made sure each detail was addressed. For the amount of work and care put into making our day just right, we felt that the price was very reasonable.
At the end of the night, our guests couldn't stop raving about the food! Now we're excited to continue stopping by and eating the food we enjoyed at Big Bob's barbecue for years to come!

You want local farm fresh pork products? look no further! The fab folks at Blooming glen pork products are friendly, knowledgeable, and make FANTASTIC FOOD! from the store where you will find some of the best ingredients for your family meal. or quite possibly the very best scrapple I have ever eaten ( and I will not eat scrapple most places) and the best bacon period. to the amazing outdoor BBQ you will find open on weekends outside under the tent. whatever you stop in for I can pretty much guarantee you will find a reason to return! not only all of the above. but you can also enjoy other locally made products sold here, one if my faves is the local made dog biscuits! my dogs approve!

My daughter bought a spiral honey baked ham for Easter dinner here. This is the leanest ham I ever seen, no fat at all. They gave you instructions for servingwhich could be serve at room temperature, slightly warmed up. The flavor of the meat was flavorful and made the meal. You didn't need to add anything to the meat. It had enough flavoring it's own.

The food is delicious. The staff is fantastic and helpful. Big Bob's BBQ in the parking lot during the warmer months is awesome as well. Great roadside joint for a bite to eat including several sauces to choose from. Take a seat at the picnic table and enjoy. We loved the Carolina and Cajun flavors. They even have a gluten free sauce!

I have had the pork and brisket sandwiches for years though with competition in the area I have since gone elsewhere. Though I stopped by the other day and ordered up there ribs from the Saturday roadside smoker and it was horrible. Rub was somewhat good but the meat was dry as heck. Might want to stick to pork/brisket when coming here hopefully they will not slip on the pork/brisket. As for me I might stop here again though not anytime soon. Bbq business is chiming up around bucks county all over.

Ran a pig roast for a friend yesterday. It took a few months to plan and get to the actual event. All through the process Pene Bryant was so kind and patient after I made change after change, question after question. Great professional. When everything came for set up Kristi did everything for us, it was amazing. She let us concentrate on everything else she got food to our guests. Ive seen many roasts over the years and this was the best quality, pricing and service I ever saw. Great job, we are already looking to doing it again next year.

So guys. I was super bummed out about being forcibly relocated from London back to suburban Pennsylvania. The thing is that everything in the food universe is right at your finger tips in London. No matter what I'm craving to cook or have cooked for me, it's only a tube ride away. This definitely isn't the case in Bucks County, and I'm not gonna try to argue that in this review.
I will, however, argue that sometimes a sleepy suburb will surprise you and some damn good smoked meat will come out of the woodwork. And, to be honest, it helped to dull some of the pain of having to move back home. My boyfriend and I drove by this place on our way to another food adventure (review forthcoming).well, it wasn't really on the way.
This place is actually two minutes down the road from the first place and we accidentally drove too far the first time. We turned around in this place's drive way and, upon seeing the cute pig sign and the closed down BBQ pit announcing that Saturday was the day for fresh prepared food, made a mental note to come back the next day. So we came back on Saturday, just moments before this place packed up. I'm so glad we did.
Everyone who worked here was polite and helpful. We left having spent sixty bucks on two giant platters of smoked brisket and pulled pork, a pound and a half of the best bacon I've ever had, a half pound of hot Italian sausage and a 20 pack of hot dogs. Everything we have tried so far (the pork, brisket and bacon) has been out of this world. Will return soon. :)

I try to reserve 5 stars for the best of the best and Blooming Glen deserves all 5 for their pulled pork. I have had several roasted pigs from here and they were all excellent. I have not had any of their other food so I can't say myself but I have heard their other foods are good also. But they have smaller sizes of pork available if you don't need an entire pig. A very easy to make meal most people will like. All you need to do is heat up the pork and put out some rolls and bbq sauce.

REAL, REAL, BBQ! First time coming here a few weeks back and I made the mistake of showing up at 3:00. There was no pulled pork left and only a little brisket. I did pick up a 1/2 rack of pork ribs and they were dynamite. Slaw just so-so (I am hard - pressed to find a good homemade slaw in PA). Sauce was solid, especially the "spicy" chipotle sauce. Price a tad high (ribs were $14). Next time I have to get here by noon. Cashier guys was nice; the lady taking orders, not so much. Will come back again soon!

This is for the retail store - which I Love. Love. Love. The employees are all fabulous. Helpful but not pushy (and very patient!). The bacon is phenomenal. The pork is phenomenal. The ham. The many salads (broccoli, potato, coleslaw). They also have pulled pork. Brats. Excellent hot sausage. I mean, honestly, we haven't had anything there that we haven't loved.
Oh - they also sell long rolls that beat Amoroso rolls and I never thought I'd find anything better than Amoroso. If you make your own pulled pork, these rolls soak up the BBQ sauce yet still remain buttery and soft without falling apart. ALSO - they have big giant smoked bones for dogs for two dollars EACH. Not per pound. You'd pay 15+ for these bones in a pet store.
They have bakery treats that vary but if you find any cinnamon rolls with thick icing - BUY THEM. (You can also call and order them -even if it's only one). These are the BEST ROLLS I've ever ever ever had. I'm quite sad it took me so long to discover this place, but the upside is we did and it is WONDERFUL. Can't recommend enough!

Wow. I've never had real BBQ until now. Don't get me wrong, I've been to BBQ joints and thought I was eating the real deal. But I never knew until right now what real BBQ is supposed to taste like. How it melts in your mouth and the hint of smoke just soothes your soul. Simply amazing. Take the trip and enjoy the real thing.

If I worked at this pit, I would be fired in less than 2 minutes. Why? I would be eating the food instead of selling it. Finally. REAL BBQ in PA! An oasis in an otherwise baron BBQ wasteland. The pigs wings nearly brought me to tears as they touched my lips. The pulled pork was freaking fantastic and the ribs were decent. If you can smoke a tender and tasty brisket like Big Bob's does, that is your sign that you have arrived at a true BBQ destination.
The mac n cheese was down home and down right delicious. Oh.and if you like sauce on everything - BB's has perfected 3 different ones. If the pit wasn't so hot, I would have hugged it and I would camp there if they would let me. Cons: Only open on Saturdays 10-6 and only Apr - Nov. This is a TRAVESTY! Please open up a restaurant.

We love stopping in to Blooming Glen for beautiful cuts of meat and delicious smoked pork products. And their pulled pork is to die for! We had them cater our wedding and the food was budget-friendly and tasty, and the staff was friendly and professional. Their catering coordinator was a joy to work with throughout the process. We received tons of compliments from our guests, too! I highly recommend Blooming Glen to cater your event, or if you just want to stop in and pick up something yummy for dinner.

Best Bacon -hands down pork cutlets are fresh, pink and tasty ground pork - nothing fresher to make lettuce wraps Thai style rolls are fresh baked and make great breakfast sandwiches (the yellow-y egg-y ones) hot and sweet sausage-for amazing stuffing or grillers all beef hot dogs are pretty much exactly like Nathan's dogs, so good. Go here for all your pork products-it is their specialty. And if you don't eat pork, well I don't feel bad for you.

Mikes review says it all. The smell alone is to die for. Ribs are awesome; pulled pork sandwich is a favorite. "A six napkin special" Mike describes the 3 sauces perfectly. hard to choose between them depends on personal taste. I now have to go back for the BB chicken after his recommendation! They will accept credit cards. You get a receipt at the tent then take it into the store (they do catering) to have it swiped. Dont miss Big Bob's this spring and summer!
