We didn't stay at the B&B. We went there for dinner. It took a long while for the only waitress to get to us. Food was fabulous while the service was not. Especially for the price of the food.

The owner brought us up to our room and showed us all the amenities in the room. She then showed us where we could park. Later she brought up a tray with fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, and fresh breads for us to eat the next morning. Every was delicious! Definitely recommend!

My wife and I spent two nights in the jacuzzi suite. We concluded our stay feeling very disappointed and ripped off by Trisha, the manager. Communication is a huge issue with this B&B. When we arrived, the building felt abandoned and we weren't sure we were at the right place. I had been instructed to text Trisha when I was close to arriving which I had done to ensure someone would be there to check us in.

I had to call her and wait outside of the building for a worker. This individual did not make us feel welcome and simply gave us our bill, keys to the room, and showed us where the room was. He didn't offer a tour or any information and seemed to be in a hurry to leave us in the abandoned building. The room was very tired despite being the most expensive.

There is a 20+ year old TV in the room that is so small and far from the bed, it isn't usable. The minifridge was very loud and would kick on randomly in the middle of the night waking us up. There are mirrors everywhere in the room and bathroom which was odd. The mattress is old, uncomfortable and placed on a piece of plywood. We expected there to be information about the plantation and recommended things to do / places to eat in a folder in the room, but there was nothing.

There is no working wifi at the B&B. I found the wifi router in the hallway outside of the room, but it appeared to be very old and was restarting itself over and over. I had to contact Trisha and she gave me the wifi password for the restaurant. Unfortunately, this wifi barely worked and our devices would disconnect from it regularly. When we checked in, there was a handwritten note that there would be no breakfast served to us because the staff was off for the holiday.

We were discounted $7.50 per person per day as a result which is a pretty meager consolation. I was surprised that Trisha did not mention this when I booked the B&B and wish we would have been told ahead of time. We also booked the room with a jacuzzi tub. The tub itself was dirty when we checked in. It had hair, dirt, and an oily grime that we tried to clean up before using with little success.

After filling up the tub, we attempted to turn on the jets with no luck. I contacted Trisha who said "actually, it's a soaking tub only." She offered no apologies and made no attempt to remedy the issue. This is blatant false advertising by the B&B. The shower also had a broken hot water handle which was sitting on the shelf next to the showerhead and there were no tissues in the tissue box.

I tried reaching out to Trisha about all of our complaints and issues with the stay and she ignored me. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. We did not feel safe here and it is a huge waste of money.

Small intimate dining with tasty drinks(honeysuckle martini) creamy cheesy seafood crepe and delicious stuffed flounder or fried redfish. Try the inhouse cheesecake yum. Ask for Greg for great service.

Actually 4.5 stars. Food has been fantastic these past two visits. The addition of the Friday night wine tastings is a great idea. Fun start to the weekend and perfect prelude to dinner. Very picky dinner group and everyone was happy (except the guy who's a Sazarac snob). Greg and Trisha are doing a great job with the service available in the current environment.

The food and the service were great. The room was nice. We slept very well and woke up to a pot of delicious coffee each morning. I read the reviews and all I can say is that if your food wasn't good during your stay maybe it was because Collin took the day off! He is an excellent chef. The grounds were nice. Needs a bit of TLC.

I have never written a review regarding the cleanliness of a restaurant. I was appalled. This restaurant has windows to the floor. Sitting next to one, I glanced down at the window sill and there was dried food and dirt all along the sill. My sister looked at the one next to her, same thing. Absolutely filthy. There is a piece of wrought iron hanging on the wall as a decoration.

The dust on it was so thick you would have thought is was suppose to be white instead of black. There was food all under our table. The bathroom was another matter. I know the two sinks were old and stained but one looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. As far as the food, we only had a salad. I could not eat mine because it was drenched with a bitter salad dressing.

My sister had eaten hers by the time we discovered there was a cleanliness problem. We promptly paid for our salads and left appalled. Under no circumstances no I recommend this restaurant. I can not imagine what condition the kitchen is in.

If there was the possibility of giving more than five stars I would. We have been to ANNADELLE'S several times over the last 11 years, and each time is better than the last. Service is beyond reproach, the food is even better. I'm cautious about giving good reviews, so take this very seriously! just don't make this place so popular that I can't get reservations when I'm craving really great food and atmosphere!

Service was awful. There for 45 minutes before took our order. Another 25 minutes to get water after I got up and found somebody. Brought only 4 of 5 entrees out and one of those was wrong. Another 15 minutes to get last entree. Food was average at best. Had a shrimp salad with only 4 shrimp in it. Chocolate mousse for dessert was very bland. Steak was passable. Brought out gumbo and turtle soup without spoons. Spent $59 person. Won't go back.

Service was unbearably slow. Took 20 minutes to even get greeted tableside and brought water and be able to place our drink orders. Another 25 minutes to get actually get our drinks- dirty martini and rum and coke. Nothing complicated. Servers never came to check back on us to order another round. By the time we had ordered another round, we didn't get it until we were almost done with the entire meal. Unbearably slow service.

We were at the table for an entire hour before we got to place our food order. Food was good but that was all lost on the service, unfortunately. For the prices, I expect to have proper customer service.

Made reservations for Valentines Day 3 weeks ago. When we got to the restaurant they had way overbooked themselves and informed us after asking 4 times how long it would be that it would be a 30-45 min wait because they were seating tables on a first come first serve basis, which seems dumb s considering everyone has reservations. When we were leaving another couple commented to ya that we just smartly saved a bunch of money as they made them wait two hours and the food wasn't very good. Not sure what happened to this place, it used to be great, but we won't be back.

Wrote about a bad experience we had here on Christmas eve and the manager called and graciously apologized for our bad service. She really was upset about our experience. We have always had a lovely experience at Annadeles so it meant so much to me. She is sending us s gift certificate. We had our 50th wedding anniversary party there snd everything was very nice. 5 stars for great food and for caring about their customers.

Steak was over cooked for a medium rare order, so I asked for a new steak. It seems the chef spitefully undercooked the steak to point that it was raw. I wish I had a pic of the overcooked piece.

A ruined Thanksgiving thanks to Annadele's Plantation. Annadele's plantation advertises their Thanksgiving dinner for the local community. We were so excited to attend Thanksgiving here for the first time. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely awful. Along with the bad food, the wait staff was completely overwhelmed with the amount of reservations.

The waitress admitted the kitchen didn't know how to cook the orders. My recommendation is for you to look elsewhere before making a reservation with Annadele's Plantation! I hope someone from Annadele's sees this review. My feelings a truly hurt that you allowed for an under prepared kitchen staff to serve thanksgiving dinner to your community.

For some of us, these are special moments to share with family we don't get to see. Instead of enjoying the company at the table, we were miserable. If you don't want to be open on Thanksgiving, close!

Annadele's is a fantastic place to celebrate an important event or just have a nice evening with a date. The service is attentive and unobtrusive. The servers had some personality, made some great recommendations and everything came out in an appropriate time exactly to order. We ordered a few appetizers, all of which were delicious. I tried the cheesecake appetizer, which was very interesting and made for some good table conversation with the family.

I ordered the rack of lamb and it was cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and had a great night. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained. We toured some of the areas upstairs (as a possible rehearsal dinner location) and found the rooms to be absolutely perfect for such affairs. The parking area is not incredibly well-lit, which some people may not like, but I don't particularly care.

Had a great stay and dinner here. The home was built in the 1800s and it abuts the bogue falaya. So calming to be sitting on the porch beside the river! As another reviewer mentioned, yes the tvs are old. Lol fortunately I do not care about that. The jacuzzi tub is awesome. You can set a timer and just chill in the jets. On to the food. I had wild boar for the first time on a crostini with chevre. Yum. We're prob gonna be seeing this on menus more and more and I'm glad.

I also did the demitasse soup trio. Loved the turtle soup. One of the best I've had. I wasn't too crazy about the oyster gratin. I like more butter and breadcrumbs and less cheese.and I had a little piece of shell. But hey it happens no big deal. I also had the surf and turf (yeah ate a lot lol). It was good; I loved the mashed potatoes.

I also loved the watermelon sorbet. So light and fresh after my giant dinner. Most of the dishes here are classic - but the ones that really shine are when the chef gets to experiment. So order the specials and try some boar lol. (The classics are good too don't get me wrong. Especially those mashed potatoes). Also loved the server Denise! So sweet and accommodating.

My family and I often come here for special events for my grandmother who is wheel chair bound. They are always very accomodating to us and the service is impeccable. My recent visit I had the butternut squash soup with crawfish which was fantastic. The pear, goat cheese and smoked salmon salad was less impressive, but only because they dressing needed more flavor to compliment it. Lastly, the Hopedale entree was excellent as well. So all in all, it was a very nice Sunday brunch sans the salad. Would definitely visit again.

Trying to review Annadele's as a B&B and not as a restaurant: Yelp! Seems not very accommodating for family travelers (2+) just passing through (esp. Sat.): $50 for a blow-up bed added to a room seems a bit much; also if you want to leave before brunch on a Sun. you do not get breakfast. May still eat there; we'll see.

Just stayed here with my boyfriend for our anniversary. We had a Groupon and I'm glad we did it! We stayed in the Cypress Grove suite which had doors leading onto a beautiful balcony with a table, couch, and chairs. Great view of the woods and creek. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, mimosas, and coffee on this balcony in the less than 24 hours we stayed in the room.

We also enjoyed the large tub and took advantage with a luxurious bubble bath. The bed was sooo comfy! BUT be prepared for the rooster that hangs out on the premises to start your morning at 6:00 AM! We dined at the restaurant for dinner and Easter brunch. The brunch was good, but overrated and overpriced. The dinner was wonderful! Denise was our server and she made the experience truly spectacular. I highly recommend a romantic getaway to this B&B! Ask for Denise if you want friendly and knowledgable service!

Went here for a rehearsal dinner and had the crab cakes, paneed veal with spaghetti, and a few other things. The crab cakes were really good; I don't eat them normally because I'm allergic and also don't really like the taste of seafood, but these were solid. I was so full that by the time I got to the pasta, I could barely fit anymore. However, from the little I had, it was pretty mediocre.

Almost like the food that you get served at dinner theater. Aside from that, the space is very pretty and seems like it'd be even nicer during the daytime, and the staff is wonderful. My only complaint is that the driveway is as dark as satan's b-hole and the parking area is barely lit.

This was a lovely place to have the bridal brunch that I went to on Sunday. It is a quaint little white plantation home tucked back in an area of Covington that I wouldn't have expected. The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. It seems like it would be a nice place for a ladies' tea, as I saw several rooms that could be for smaller private events.

The food was well presented and nice portions (not too big to call "generous", but filling) and the chicken and sausage gumbo was excellent, as was the broccoli au gratin. I also go the red fish special and was disappointed to see that it was lightly battered and didn't have a ton of flavor. Lastly, the grounds look very nice. It seems like they have enough private places outdoors to have a nice intimate wedding.
