The fire dancer (Toto) we hired for a sixth grade grad party was fantastic! Great communication from the company and very professional. The kids loved it and he did a great job getting them Involved in the fun!

My husband and I had our Hawaii Five-0 themed 50th Birthday Party at a friend's backyard for a dozen people. We had Harvey as our Lead Entertainer and MC. He is very friendly, personable, and really carries the spirit of Aloha in his heart. His Luau team was magnificent! The most authentic and incredible show that leaves you speechless. All of our guests were commenting on how amazing they were and how much they wanted to throw their own luau party to bring them back. Also, the amount of engagement they had with all of our guests was just right for our small group. Will definitely reach out to Islanders Luau for future events. Mahalo nui loa Maril, Harvey and crew for making our 50th birthday unforgettable.

INCREDIBLE company! I don't normally write reviews, but Maril and Islanders Luau are just too amazing not to do so. The dancers, food, decor, ambiance, etc. were all top notch! I was so floored by how professional this company is. I've been to HI a few times and have been to Luaus there, but they don't even compare to this one we can have here at home! Also, we did the roasted pig and I've never had such delicious pork in my life! My guests had a wonderful time and many have come back to rave to me. I would highly recommend Islanders Luau! Maril is great and so easy to work with, too.

We hired Islanders Luau for our daughters graduation party. They were fantastic! They were friendly and professional. Maril kept the crowd entertained throughout the night, and the dancers were amazing. About a third of our family is vegan/plant-based and their chef was able to adjust the menu to accommodate our dietary needs, and tasty enough to satisfy everyone. It was a great night that we will never forget! I highly recommend them for any occasion! Thank you Islanders Luau!

We had 'Harvey' as our MC/Entertainment and he was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We had our event in our backyard w/our very close family and friends (approx 45 people). he went around talking to most (if not all) our guests. He was so personable (and professional) that he totally fit in. He arrived as the "Luau Entertainer", but left as "Uncle Harvey" lol. Exceptional Experience! I booked a 70th Birthday luau for my Mom with Islanders Luau. Meril was very helpful in the decision of what to choose from their awesome list of food, entertainment and decor! They cooked teriyaki chicken on site, and all the food was amazing! The buffet table was absolutely gorgeous. The servers were very helpful. I also got the tiki photo booth which was so much fun!

The Entertainment by Meril and the Hula girls was by far the best experience my guests had ever had. We were all blown away by the entire show and experience. I will definitely be booking Islanders Luau in the Near future. Thank you Meril and Islanders Luau for such a wonderful experience. We're family now!

Islanders Luau helped me have an engagement party outside for my daughter and her fiance. Everything was excellent from the food and service to the entertainment. They make having a party easy and I actually enjoyed myself as well and was able to be with the guests. Everyone had a great time. We have been to Hawaii many times and the entertainment from Maril and his crew are top notch. Everyone gave me compliments and had a great time. Our favorite food item was the Pig. Maril and his entire team were absolutely amazing! We brought them in to help us with a very special Luau surprise for our TV show "Random Acts" for a deserving family in Riverside, CA - and they definitely pulled out all the stops and created a memorable experience that this family will never forget! Everything from the food, the decorations, the dancers, the music, and Maril as the MC - was absolutely perfect. They are top notch professionals who know how to put on am amazing Luau!

I am so amazed by the performance we had tonight! With this weird Covid time we just had a small party for our daughter and wanted everyone to enjoy themselves and not think about these weird times. The dancer was very sweet and my daughter loved the show! Definitely booking again! I'm very cautious of who we hire for entertainment but I can say this company was very professional and I thank Melissa so much for being friendly with my entire family. it was such a perfect performance and it felt like we were in Hawaii again. thank you Maril we all enjoyed ourselves!

All I can say is WOW! We had Maril and the crew come to our community to perform a covid-safe show for our residents that have been in quarantine since March. There performance was a beautiful tribute to all of the south pacific cultures, and super fun! The resident's were talking about it for day's after. Thank you for bringing in a little light in this dark time! We will definitely be booking with them again!

Islanders Luau was a taste of Hawaii's Island in our own back yard. We hired them for my mothers 60th birthday, and they made her night so special. The food was so delicious and served with a smile. During this time, our guest list was not what we wanted but for one night we were back in Hawaii. Thank you for this special night.

I'm way over due on this review. In April, my husband and I arranged a vow renewal with our friends and family in hawaii. Due to Covid, we had to cancel. We were devastated that our plans fell through. However, we decided to host a luau to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had Islander's Luau cater for us. Everything was amazing! From food to decorations.

They brought Hawaii to us, and we were so happy how it turned out. Merril and his team were amazing and professional. Thank you guys for making our wedding anniversary amazing and memorable.

We absolutely loved having Islander's Luau be a part of our company's client appreciation party! Everyone was super personable, the decor was good quality, food was delicious and the performance was awesome! We also had some changes and updates to make leading up to our event date and Maril was always very accommodating. A highly recommend Islander's Luau for your next event!

WOW! What a service and a show. The Islander"s blew us away. Our Mom's 80 birthday party and these guys "Hit it out'a the Park". From the easy planning to the Show (Better then some I've seen in Hawaii) but, Sorry guys my Mom's Hula dance stole the show;) (i'm biased). OOOH! The food these people know how to BBQ "DAKINE" Style, I just can't thank Maril and his crew enough for a life time of memory's, Mahalo Again!

I can't say enough good things about Islanders luau! We had a company luau. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was amazing as well. We had a wonderful experience.

We hired Islanders Luau for our son's first birthday party, catering and entertainment, and it was amazing! From working with Maril during the planning process through the event itself, was seamless and wonderful. We had a full pig with the pig ceremony, and it was the absolute best pork we have ever had. The ceremony really set the stage for an awesome party as well.

All of the food was so delicious and traditional. The show was funny, authentic, and so much fun. We received so many compliments on the food and show, and we can't thank Maril and his team enough. If you're considering hiring Islanders Luau, don't hesitate and book them! You won't be disappointed!

What can I say? The entertainment, the food, the people, the whole experience was more than I could've asked for and way exceeded my best expectations! The food was to die for, grilled fresh on site (torturing you with the smell), and OH. SO. GOOD! We booked them last minute for an all school party, and they came through quickly and professionally.

Set up authentic island educational (and fun) booths and kept the kids entertained all afternoon. All the teachers agreed that having Islanders Luau was like being on the Island itself. The show was mesmerizing and kept the kids (and adults) enthralled and completely captivated. They even stayed after and mingled with the kids, teaching dance moves, letting them see the drums, and taking photos. I will absolutely book with them again. Everyone was amazing, professional, and oh so friendly. They treat you like family.

Maril and all the crew at Islander's Luau did an amazing job at providing a full-service luau in keeping with all the traditions and events one would expect from a luau in the islands. The food was delicious, plentiful, fresh and hot, as they grilled it on site. I appreciated that Islander's took care of everything. decorations, food, entertainment, DJ, set up & breakdown.

Our guests loved the interactive Polynesian show, and I highly recommend the palm leaf weaving activity which was enjoyed by young & old alike. Maril accommodated all of our special requests and was flexible and helpful. He had a way of being easy going while still managing to stay on top of all communications & requests. We will be using Islander's and recommending them to all our friends for many years to come.

Islanders Luau did not disappoint. We had them perform at our Corporate event in Costa Mesa for a large group of Engineers. They kept all of the attendees enthused and engaged! The entire group was professional and very talented. The fire dance performance by the Chief was a big hit and the audience participation added to the full experience. We are looking forward to working with Islanders Luau again soon.

This was our first time using this company. They all are very professional and punctual. The performers that did our daughter's first birthday party on October 27, 2018 were amazing. They were early to set up and ran the performance smoothly. Everyone enjoyed the show! Thank you Islanders Luau!

I'm very pleased with the result of my daughters birthday party! I was full on stressed trying to plan the perfect party and I came across the idea that maybe I should hire someone and started my search on yelp I came across many sites but Islanders Luau stuck out to me the most as I was planing a Moana themed party. I called to book them and was very happy I did. Kayleen (not sure if I spelled it right sorry)well Kayleen played as Moana for my daughters birthday and was amazing!

Not only did the children think she was wonderful but all the parents liked her as well. Kayleen was patient with the children and so attentive to what the kids had to say. Kayleen is such a professional not only was she able to handle children very well she is very talented too She was able to captivate the children's attention when she taught them about Hawaiian culture through beautiful songs and well choreographed dances.

Thanks to Her I was able to create an unforgettable memory for my daughter! My daughter is very happy and I received many compliments thank you so much (The look on her face when captured through video were priceless there stands her hero)

Words cannot possibly describe the absolutely incredible service and experience provided by Islanders Luau. The entertainment, the food, the decorations - literally everything was A+. Maril and his team are amazing. Our guests loved every minute, every bite and every dance. Our guests were truly mesmerized during the performances, and they raved about the food and the lei greeting.

In addition, on top of the outstanding outcome of the event, Maril was truly a pleasure to work with during the planning phase (and patient with all my many questions!). 100% 5* recommendation.

I thought it would be an excellent idea to have a laua as my wedding reception after finding this company on here. The reviews were great and the pictures made me feel confident that this was a professional company. To give credit where credit is due, most of the food was amazing, the show was great, and the props were of very high quality. Unfortunately, Maril fell far short of the mark when it came to integrating his party into a wedding reception.

He brought the wrong side dishes, forgot the tiki bar, and was extremely unorganized. I told him months in advanced, and over multiple conversations that there was no fire allowed on the property that we were hosting the event on. He went ahead and did the fire dance part of his show anyway. He promised me a DJ to do the first dances and did not provide one.

Towards the end of the night when it came time for toasts he refused to let anyone other than the bestman/maid of honor and parents speak. He left without payment the night of the event, then changed the amount owed afterwards adding the tiki bar he brought late onto the order. I responded that I would only be paying half of the almost $1000 in gratuity he was charging me due to how much extra work I had to do, the fact that he had forgotten so many things, was rude to my family, and his servers informed me that he does not tip them out.

He argued with me on this, and proceeded to call my family members to try and dispute it with them as well (which I had explicitly asked him not to contact anyone other than me in regards to this matter) I responded by telling him I would be paying no gratuity due to his conduct. When he finally decided to stop arguing with me and take my payment (3 weeks later) he told me you'll be charged x amount (the amount agreed upon) plus 3 weeks interest, and hung up the phone. By far this has been the worst interaction I've had with a company before. It made it that much worse that this happened at my wedding.

This review is based on an event I attended that was catered by Islanders Luau. The luau began with the sounding of the conch. Next came the pig hoisted on the shoulders of two guys. Yes! a WHOLE pig. Very impressive. Our Hawaiian buffet included mac salad, choice of white or fried rice, crisp stir fried veggies, teriyaki chicken, kalbi (Korean short ribs), Kalua pork. And.assorted fruit.

Plenty of food for seconds and thirds. However, I was a little disappointed that there was only one bowl of Chinese Chicken salad (?). I managed to sneak a taste from hubby's plate. It was delish! I think the highlight for the kids.was definitely the shaved ice stand. (Snow cones. Hawaiian style) Added a genuine touch of aloha to the event. The entertainment took us on a tour of Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand and Hawaii.

I especially enjoyed the fire knife demonstration. Overall, I was very impressed with the food, entertainment and service. I would definitely consider them if I were planning a luau themed event. Two thumbs up!
