Five stars and then some. Even if the place was short staffed, the staff was cool calm and collected They were quick and efficient. The hostess seemed off when we got there but she warmed up and was friendly Our cute waitress was able to snag the last famous sticky bun. She had to make my bloody Mary, because there was no bar keeper. I know? Where is there an open bar in the keys with no bar keep. No worries our waitress made it herself. Simply stated class act Mary flavored by old chef's recipe. We can't wait to come back

Very delicious meal. Decent staff to get along with. And they were slow to get back to drinks and order and all the likes. Portions were perfect for the price, and we all left satisfied as a party of 10. Food was to die for and would come back. I ordered the Scallops

Love this place! Nice atmosphere, great service, excellent food! Had the fresh catch piccata style. It was wonderful. Nice wine options and drinks as well. This place was on an episode of DDD. They have a picture on the wall. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food. Located right off the highway on Islamorada. Nice atmosphere and cool air condition dining room. We had breakfast, Roxie scramble ( crab, tomato, spinach, & cheese ) and Lobster Benedict both were delicious. Friendly and professional staff. I would recommend this restaurant.

For the most part the staff is courteous and efficient. The food is okay. Liked the atmosphere and it is very clean including the restrooms. Was dissapointed to see the hostess brush her hair and spend so much time stroking her ponytail into place at the front stand, yuck!

Excellent Breakfast Burrito, Mimosa's, Sticky Buns, and a locals favorite! Be advised not open Mondays and Tuesdays! The Turtle Rests.

Good stop for breakfast. Corned beef hash was very good. Big strips of meat, not small and diced. Not greasy or overcooked. Scrambled eggs done just right. A little pricey compared to some of the breakfast places, but worth it.

An island tradition - no trip to Islamorda is complete without dining at this long time favorite restaurant. Great menu choices, and friendly service at good prices.

We were at the Turtle today for lunch at the bar which has 12 seats 9 of which were filled. Ordered 2 beers, a burger and a fish sandwich @ 1:15 pm it arrived at 2:05- and to top it off both orders were wrong. Bartender did not even say sorry kitchen is backed up. Many other customers were also looking around for their food as well. Not our first time here- but will be our last. It was not a staff shortage as there plenty of people to run food just no food to run! Might need to call Jon Tapper for a rescue! Not happy in Islamorada. Charli H

My husband and I had a delicious breakfast here as we left Islamorada for Key West. We shared the breakfast burrito and the monte cristo. I just wish we had time to stay for dinner too! If I'm ever In the area again I would definitely go back.

Avacado toast and collard greens are delicious. Service was great. Staff friendly and smiling!

My husband and I stopped for brunch on our way down to Key West. Food was good, pricing was average for the area. I had the club sandwich and he had the bacon wrapped meatloaf sandwich. The homemade chips were very good. Quaint atmosphere

Very good lunch spot- we went because it was a Diners, Drive-ins and Dive location of Guy's. Had the meatloaf sandwich. Was pretty good. Nice place to grab a sit down lunch. Service was quick with a smile. The owner/manager came by and checked on us while we were there- which is a nice touch.

We had good service and the food was good. Lots of good stuff on the menu but we just wanted a light breakfast. We found it pricy for the two of us. We each ordered a small OJ, coffee, oatmeal and fresh fruit. Found is odd that the oatmeal came out plain. For the price expected it would come with brown sugar, nuts and dried fruit too.

Great breakfast and service! We has shrimp and grits, excellent. Crab omelette was excellent as well as eggs Benedict.

We were positively starving when we got To Green Turtle. Staff was friendly and service was fast. We had the turtle chowder, the wedge salad, the bacon wrapped love, the shrimp scampi, the scallops pasta, the shrimp and grits and the bang bang shrimp. Everything was so delicious! Would recommend to ANYONE!

Excellent dinner! Blackened yellow tail with fresh vegetables and rice. Yellow tail almondene with fresh vegetables and rice. Everything was prepared to perfection. Best meal I've had in a long time! Green Turtle Inn NEVER disappoints.

Awesome place - fabulous service and good food. Our family of 4 went on a Wednesday night - husband had the steak special which was phenomenal. I had the cornbread and Kobe sliders - both of which were great. Husband is still talking about the cornbread. Kids ordered Mac & cheese - it was a HUGE portion and fed them for lunch the next day. Drinks were good - overall great spot and would go again.

Stopped in the Green Turtle Inn for dinner on a Wednesday night. Lucky for us Wednesday is steak night special. Husband ordered the New York with baked potato. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly! I had the soup of the day "Hoppin John" with black eye peas and sausage, delicious. And the beet spinach salad with goat cheese, so good! The service was great as well. We'll definitely be going back to the Green Turtle Inn.

This place can't possibly need another favorable review. so amazing. everytime! I've been for breakfast, dinner, I think I even ended up here for Easter Brunch once. It's been right everytime!

I had the lobster Mac and cheese, and the beer battered fish sliders, both on their small plate menu. My husband had a special, braised beef short ribs over a mushroom and roasted tomato risotto. Both were very good. We sat at the bar, had excellent service!

We sat in the bar area because we couldn't figure out how to get to the regular restaurant. We walked through a store and they directed us to the bar area so that's where we sat. The bartender was awesome and very friendly! The food wasn't great. Deviled eggs seemed pre made and weren't that tasty. The wings were 50 cents and I understand why.

They were the really large chicken wings and just not very good. I would go back for drink specials but not for the food. Bud lights were $2 and captain Morgan drinks were $3. Oh, they also sell liquor at this location! Interesting.

We ate in the bar area. Had burnt ends pork which were awesome and tender. Also had Naked wings with bbq and sweet Thai chili sauce awesome. Local beer was good according to hubby. Service was just ok. Wings were 0.50.

Great place with incredible food. My good friend Frank is the manager and he was awesome as always. Please come hungry because the portions are shareable and are delicious. The Lobster Mac n' Cheese is huge and just fantastic. A must place for locals and any out of town guests. Take the ride side and enjoy south Florida hospitality and cuisine at its best.

The service was fast, polite and attentive. Food was out of this world. I had Lobster Benedict. My husband had the Meatloaf Sandwich. Both were outstanding! We recommend and will return!

We were on vacation and brought our dog with us. Every restaurant we visited was located using Yelp search "dog friendly" near me. Please note we had breakfast out every morning. The parking lot was packed so we anticipated a wait. We met the hostess and advised we were 2 plus a dog. The hostess did not know if pets were allowed. She checked and said it was fine but we needed to sit outside.

No worries, we are used to this. She sat us behind the restaurant in a cute little patio area of 4-5 tables. The problem, we think the waitress forgot about us. She left a bottle of water and two glasses and disappeared for 20 minutes. I know it was busy, but it is Summer in Florida. Hot, hot, hot. I tried to turn on the outdoor fans with no success.

She returned for order and brought my iced tea. We ordered and 25 minutes went by before our food arrived. She never returned to see if we needed anything. After 30 minutes I went to the kitchen and asked for Togo boxes. I also located the waitress and asked for our check. As I was returning outside I noticed another duo in the rear inside room all alone and looking desperate.

The gentleman had been outside and met our dog. He said "they forgot you too"? The waitress came up with my check as I was talking to him. I paid while standing on that room then left. The worst service ever! My shrimp and grits were good but not enough to pull up my rating.

Very quaint place with open kitchen. The menu is smaller than other places visited and prices a bit higher too. My husband got the scallop and lobster pasta dish. I got the special of the night, the onion Parmesan crusted fish. They were both served so fresh and hot from the kitchen.

We had a great group dinner at the green turtle. Our server Emily was outstanding. We were sat in the back room which was perfect for the kids. We had the fish dip, turtle soup, a whole mess of appetizers and the steak dinner special. On Wednesday nights a NY strip and a baked potato is $23. Go early if you have a large group and enjoy your dinner.

One of the best steaks I ever had. Go on Wednesday to get one. Cooked to perfection.

Stopped in after watching the clip on Guy Fieri's DDD and was not disappointed. My dad loved the turtle soup, and my Bacon Wrapped Love was easily the best thing I had to eat after a week in the Keys. Don't miss the gift shop!

Been coming here for years whenever I am in the keys. Had breakfast today and it was excellent. Best shrimp and grits I have ever had. Wife ordered a spinach and mushroom omelet which she loved. Our server was great and pricing was very much in line with the quality of food. The restaurant is classy, love the vibe of this place.

This place is adorable & cleaner than clean! Staff were friendly & attentive. I was too early for the sticky bun, so ordered pancakes & bacon. Both done to perfection. Be back tomorrow, please have the sticky buns ready.

The bloody Mary's were good, I wish they put a bit more spice into it but that's just my preference My bf got the shrimp and grits I decided the lobster eggs Benedict, I was surprised to see the big chunks of lobster! It was delicious and really filling. I took a couple of bites of the shrimp and grits as well, and the flavor was incredible!

A must try restaurant! Our server was very attentive and polite. The menu had all the island favorites. The bang bang shrimp was the best I've tried to date. Flavorful and served with freshly made coleslaw. The cesar salad was dressed proper and crisp including anchovies. The scallops were well seasoned with a delicious pasta that included mushrooms and lobster. The fresh catch was sea bass which was a huge serving. We didn't leave hungry with the portions served. I highly recommend The Green Turtle Inn.

This place was recommended by a friend. The bartender Brian? was excellent and made a Smoked Old Fashioned. He was right the smoke infused rye was unusual and fantastic. When it came the meals, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the Gulf Grouper and my wife the crab cake. Both were excellent! The service was not rushed and very attentive.

Awesome little joint! I felt like our server was an old pal by the end of the meal. I had the lox platter and it HIT THE SPOT! My Mom's patty melt had me drooling with the smell when it came out, but I think the star of the show was the corned beef hash. This did not come out of a can, beef made separate and shredded on top. I would say only crisp up the potatoes a little bit more and it would be perfect!

We had an impromptu brunch at this restaurant and we enjoyed it very much. Both of us had Green Turtle Breakfast (I think that's what it was called) and it was very tasty. There was so much food and the prices are very fair. Everyone was nice, polite and quick with our order. Oh, and on the side of the restaurant is Roadside BBQ and it's really great and delicious, especially smoked brisket and ribs (smoked for 8 hours) daily. Super awesomely priced.

Great menu. I really enjoyed the Turtle Chowder and the Bread Pudding. The Key Lime pie was quite delicious as well. The crust is made with macadamia nuts. The turtle chowder is made with snapping turtle and is quite spicy. I loved it! You may want to order some bread on the side because of the heat. Their coffee is delicious as well. It did not have a bitter taste like some do. The staff were very kind and helpful. Once you finish eating you can enjoy the store next door. Lots of great products including Patagonia and Sun Bum.
