Since they opened, I have been to Eastchester Fish Gourmet at least 50 times. I have never had a bad meal and not one person at my table has said anything other than this is one of the best restaurants in Westchester county. There are some standards on the menu that are simply outstanding. the Fish & Chips are perfect, better than any I've had in New England.
The Trout Almondine is a budget-friendly option that will never disappoint. The grilled octopus is perfection! I was fond of their tuna poke bowl which was recently discontinued (hopefully not forever). Even Nobu can't beat their quality. They source their fish from their own fish market - it's almost as good as pulling the fish straight from the sea.
The service is always outstanding. the kitchen will make substitutions and modifications without question. PARKING: It sucks! You need to feed the meter until 7:00 pm and the Eastchester Police will ticket you at 6:55 with alacrity. If the spots in front are taken, I suggest you park on Locust Ave and cross the street. BREAD: I saw some reviews criticizing the bread portion.
They cut costs by not giving away bread that will go to waste. But.you can ask for more and they will bring it to you, not a problem. Just ask.don't complain! The cornbread is delicious!

What a horrible experience. My husband took me here for dinner last Saturday evening. It was for my Mother's Day dinner my husband works for NY corrections my son NYPD both had to work on Mother's Day so my hubby wanted to treat me. Ok we are a biracial couple married 23 years this restaurant treated us like I was my husband's lady of the night. Unreal!
No attention to details waitress completely ignored us and my lobster was overcooked 2x left went home without having my dinner. Worse experience ever. Will not recommend or return.

I would have given the 5 stars for the excellent seafood, but this happened: Had dinner at the Eastchester Fish Gourmet on the 1st evening of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. What a great and stupid idea! Since it was Monday we had an early, 6:45 reservation.and so did everyone else. This surge that became a tsunami threw the bar and kitchen off. The drinks were served very late, so we're the apps and mains.
The real problem was it didn't hit everyone equally. But after a conversation with the manager the right things started happening. Then came the food. Everything was just wow. White sangria was great, the salads and the oysters done just right plus the the scampi and fish and chips.just this side of legendary. Follow all that with hot fudge sundaes, we forgot about the earlier service errors. Oh yeah, management then did the right thing.paid for our drinks.

Unbelievably delicious! Whenever we go here, be it with friends, family, or just with the hubs, the food is wonderful. Everything is delicious and I've never been disappointed or had a bad meal here. I've eaten so many different items on their menu, I love the skate wing, the black cod, lobster, just amazing!

If you're craving fresh seafood in a cosy neighborhood gem, this place has you covered. My wife and I dined there recently, and we are fans. Whenever I visit a new restaurant I always ask the server if I am never able to come back what are the one or two things on the menu I must try. This response was the fried octopus and the golden snapper.
For us, the chopped salad and Manhattan clam chowder were the perfect start. Next, the entrees. We had the Golden snapper, which was buttery with crispy skin - absolutely delicious. And the seafood risotto, which was very good with nice chucks of pan-seared scallops and shrimp throughout. We finished a wonderful meal with a chocolate souffle and cappuccino. Just right. Service was pretty good. Overall, a great meal and dining experience!

Excellent. Decided to eat there two nights in a row. The oysters were absolutely delicious and the mussels appetizer is the size of an entree with a light refreshing herb wine sauce. Tried the phenomenal Nantucket scallops, and the golden snapper which I thought was out of this world with the sauce and potatoes. My dinner companion did not favor the snapper. Second night had to try the souffle (pistachio white chocolate did not disappoint). Our server was the same both evenings and she was exceptional.

I'm a big seafood lover, and I read reviews on this place and knew I had to try it. Family visiting from Barbados one being a chef/restaurant owner LOVED everything. We ordered 4 small plates and our individual meals and the service was excellent. The Tuna nachos were fresh and just enough for a party of 4. I ordered the red snapper and it was perfectly cooked, and delicious. The prices aren't to bad for a seafood restaurant, the quality is top notch. We had a great experience, and definitely will be back.

Friend recommended and told me to have the tuna tartar appetizer that I did enjoy. We started the the beet kale salad. I am not a fan of kale and still not. My gf did enjoy the kale. I enjoyed the beets. My gf had the muscles that were tasty. We split the Bronzini main dish. I enjoyed it my gf said part of hers was a little dry. If we return to the area I would go back. Very attentive staff and fairly priced

Granted, the seafood was fresh. But when all one can muster about a self-proclaimed "award-winning fine dining restaurant" is, well, at least the seafood was fresh.there's something to be said. The small plates lived up to their name, being small not only in size but also in matching expectations for fine-dining. The two-minute calamari was bathed in a sauce reminiscent of Newman's Mariana.
The shrimp and avocado would have been delightful if not for the offending shrimp who was not properly deveined. Our entrees arrived delectably warm, with the Parmesan Encrusted Cod bathed in a cream sauce - drowning in sauce does perhaps appropriately align with their oceanic theme. The fish and chips were the highlight of our dinner: crispy, melt-in-your-mouth flaky, juicy.
A pity the other dishes didn't shine the same. In a word, Eastchester Fish Gourmet is overrated. However, major compliments to waitstaff and employees. They were generally wonderful amidst the chaos of take-outs and busy dinner rush, especially the server who offered us extra cornbread.

We tried this restaurant during the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and we enjoyed their menu. Very nice ambiance, more seating indoors than outdoors. Street parking. Food was delicious. Would stick with seafood items especially they're a seafood restaurant. Service was very prompt. Would definitely try them again whenever I am in the area.

Ive been looking forward to having dinner here again after a few years. I was pretty disappointed. They asked me if I wanted bread. I said i would. 2 very small pieces were served. The corn bread wasn't good enough to eat. The New England chowder was tasty but not chowder. I order the seafood risotto. I couldn't finish it. It looked like a mess plooped into the dish and wasnt like any risotto I have had before.
There shouldn't have been tomatoes and the shrimp was hard. Its hard to tell what else was there. I think scallops which were tender and flavorful. The waiter was very nice but when I walked in he acted like he was the king of England. Lighten up there kid. You're a waiter.

We ordered curbside pickup last week and it was a perfect experience! Food was hot and delicious, wrapped appropriately "to go" (ie sauce for the to-die-for Parmesan crusted cod was in its own insulated soup like container). They even included some of the delicious corn bread, which I didn't order but wished I had! They must've known! Great service all around.

When out looking for somewhere nice to eat we happened upon this spot. Even though it's outside in what appears to be an alley there's a big green wall facing it which makes it feel like Central Park. The waitress couldn't have been nicer very attentive and knowledgeable. The Oysters and Little Necks were great as were the Crab Cake and Crispy Octopus it was actually all delicious I was really extremely happy all around.
The drinks at least the one I had three of were also good. My wife order a half bottle prosecco which she appeared to enjoy. I took some photos but I'll definitely be going back.

This review is for Go Fish takeout, which has a more limited menu but lower prices and is very good. We like the shrimp & chips (crispy and delicious), heart of palm salad, seafood quesadilla, shrimp & corn chowder (VERY rich but flavorful--you can really taste the ingredients), and tuna poke bowl. The menu could use a little more attention to details (e.g. serve coleslaw with the fish & chips to cut through all the fat, or cut the jalapenos in the poke bowl smaller so your mouth isn't on fire from eating a huge piece of hot pepper), but overall it's good and reasonably priced food.

Did takeout today Ordering was efficient and friendly. Menu of the day had great selections and the pickup although busy was efficient. Beet salad was great and dressing was a good accompaniment. Refreshing kale also. Branzino was good and nicely cooked nice size. A little oily. The side was cauliflower which was also oily. COd was great.

I walk here all the time since it's across the street from my salon. Shrimp burritos are amazing! The poke bowls are good, not the greatest but pretty good. The fish and chips are are pretty good with a nice crusty crunchy crust on the fish. Potatoes are bomb. This is about the To-go place. Good social distancing and mask wearing enforced. Super nice people work here!

This is my third visit to Eastchester Fish Gourmet, and all visits were to the counter-service GO FISH, which is connected to the restaurant. I am psyched to try their sit-down restaurant some time, but I'm going to wait until covid is over to try for a reservation on their more "formal side." Some of the dishes we have tried from GO FISH include their fried fish sandwich, fish and chips, poke bowl, and sweet potato fries.
A few of these have been repeat order dishes (poke bowl and fish sandwich). and I'm eager to try the fish and chips again! They were so yummy. I definitely recommend GO FISH if you are over in Eastchester during lunch time. And I'll be sure to review the Gourmet side once I have the opportunity to try it.

All the people working at this restaurant are friendly and professional except for the hostess. She barely acknowledged us (or any other parties) when walking in the door. She was rude and maybe it was because we were seated near the door, but we could audibly hear her barking orders at other staff. The food was good, not great. Started with the avocado shrimp appetizer and had the steamed lobster as a main.
The shrimp was okay and the lobster was good, just smaller than I expected. For dessert we shared the profiteroles which were yummy but nothing to write home about. Will probably be back in the future, but possibly doing take out instead.

First time going there. Ordered a Bloody Mary which was good, but not $13 worth of good. It had more lemons limes celery and ice than liquor. I ordered the fish tacos. They were good, tasty and fresh but extremely hard to eat. Lots of filling spilling out and too small a shell. I also got a cup of Manhattan clam chowder which did contain lots of clam but I've had much better flavored chowder at Francesco's in White Plains. It was ok. My friend got the crab cake which she enjoyed. Service was good, waiters were friendly and nice. Definitely a three star though.

Outside of Seafood, Eastchester Fish rounded up nicely with a casual flair. My Birthday dinner here, proved to be a clear cut winner in my book for the few tasty Seafood items we had. I'll confess. I've had this spot Bookmarked for eons and even then, my eyes and appetite, feasted on all their menu items. Design fits Eastchester well. In the first place, style is masculine-woodsy with metal ceiling lamps, portholes and more nautical accents decorating the whole layout- plus these wooden slats on the ceiling.
Even with our delayed 7:30 reservation, my husband checked in with the host just to make sure we were still on his front burner. Everything after that-from servers to atmosphere, had a natural flow. The menu is at least 98% Seafood. But for meat lovers, you might get away with their prime rib or Duck- and seems like it changes every so often. Menu also has Appetizers and a Small Plates selection.
We kicked off the evening with a dozen briny and meaty Oysters. Then the Crispy Octopus starter with the accompanying Greens, Pickle Onions and Orange slices- was different and good. While my husband enjoyed his Manhattan Clam Chowder. Pan Seared Striped Bass with Mushrooms, called for a Dijon mustard sauce but asked our server, if another can be substitute quick.
He suggested a Cream Sauce and in the end, that sucker was freaking good. My husband liked his "Linguine" Seafood dish out of Zucchini, Squash and Carrot strings (he just didn't expect it to be so soupy). Birthday Dessert was a mix of a Lava Cake, macerated Berry stack and a Caramel scoop on an extra thin cookie bowl. freaking golden! Ginger Pear Martini and 'Summer Breeze' cocktail were good and refreshing- but wished they were kicked into high-gear.
The air here is kind of reserved. It isn't white glove service, nor is it a hangout spot where you can throw a few back either. Come in casually dressed and you're fine. Our server Edgar- didn't have to jump through hoops, but I was very appreciative of the sauce substitution. Thank you! They practically covered all the bases and as a Seafood fiend, Eastchester dished up good hitters- and really see myself returning- even for lunch.
