Cozy Corner Deli The atmosphere is casual and friendly, like a classic New Jersey luncheonette. If you are wondering "what is a classic NJ luncheonette?", it is one that serves traditional "comfort food", i.e., good, old fashioned breakfast and lunch fare. A classic Jersey-style luncheonette has counter-style seating for the coffee-and-newspaper crowd in addition to table seating. And most importantly, the menu consists of homemade-to-order dishes, that are simple, satisfying and delicious, like our famous macaroni and cheese.

Went in to purchase 2 liter coke.4dollars plus tax. This you can buy in store for a little more than a dollar. Nothing like overcharge.

Wish I had a better experience. The young lady behind the register was flustered and confused, asked for more money to make it right, wasn't sure what pork sausage was. My wrap was fine, husband's breakfast sandwich was pretty sad for the price. He stated it was the worst breakfast sandwich he'd ever had sadly. No one else was waiting when we got there and our 2 little sandwiches took 30 mins.

Perhaps they were doing uber eats orders but wow. At Bagels and Beans, their line can be out the door and you get served in 5 minutes in comparison. I don't think I'll be back.

Stopped in here to get a sandwich for lunch at peak lunch rush hour, and was able to order and get my sandwich within about 7minutes! Staff was super friendly and efficient, they are also on GrubHub and they also deliver if you call them directly highly recommend going direct to avoid the additional GH fees! Quick and convenient!

I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. when I feel like having a superb meal, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. best and diverse food and a large list of dishes.well mannered crew, and pleasant ambience. Also important, the expence is affordable. I sent my friends to this restaurant with no doubt.

My favorite deli growing up is not so cozy anymore. The young women that works in the morning makes you feel like it's an inconvenience to her to be there. The cook in the back is not any better he literally cursed me for asking for cheese on my sandwich. I went there one day and a young lady apologized for the lack of knowledge because she was only 12.

But it's not all bad There's a older lady there that is extremely nice I try to go in there when she's working. Overall my experience with Cozy Corner is nothing like it used to be :- Also it very unprofessional for the owner to yell at the staff while customers are present

Older lady at the register was rude and disrespectful. She did not greet us just said this is to go right? As if my son and I were not welcome to dine in. Gave me an uncomfortable feeling.

I'm okay with the diner it's just that the parking is not too cozy. I believe they should call the town eliminate the curb so we can have access to the parking spot without jumping the curb.

With not many choices in the area, When you're traveling by foot I guess this is an all right spot to visit. I cannot comment on everything on the menu. My 1st visit wings and fries. The fries were too well done and the wings soft not crispy. The people are friendly and there's Room to sit if you want. I'm sure other people had better experiences but for me it just didn't Cut it

I brought a breakfast sandwich from bacon, egg and cheese on a roll from cozy corner for $5.00 and I had more bread than anything. The sandwich had one egg and 2 pieces of bacon on a hard roll. It's a shame to charge so much and get hardly anything. You get more from McDonald's.

Cozy corner caterers helped me when I wanted to send sandwiches to Overlook hospital when my mother was there on the COVID floor, they were attentive and very accommodating, they delivered the food on time and. were in communication with me after the food was delivered. The staff were very appreciative and thoroughly enjoyed the sandwiches and cookies! Thank you for making this so easy for me to do!

I have been to this cafe twice. My first experience was ok. Food was so so. But I told myself maybe it was a bad day for them. So I tried them again and this time was even worse. The staff was rude and ignored me and my mom right in front of them ready to order. I asked one of the workers if I could see the sandwich and she said no I already wrapped it.

Then I explained why because last time it was so skinny for $8.50. She rudely replies it's by ounces. Like what does that even mean?! I almost walked out but Thought better or it. Again the sandwich was skimpy; barely any turkey and three slices of cheese. Basically a cheese sandwich. Old lettuce and hard bread. How do you mess up a cold-cut sandwich. Never again. One star is generous.

Cozy Corner Deli is my first go-to when I'm hungry and looking for delivery. EVERYTHING I've had from there has been good. I've done both breakfast and lunch so I've had a variety from their burgers to their wraps to their French toast and their omelets. The drivers are always on time and courteous. I would recommend them anytime.

Unfortunately there may never be a time when I can try this place. I'm told I don't know what I'm missing, but with their hours of operation and closing time of 6PM, it's not likely that they'll be seeing the many folks that get out of work at 5pm or later. The many deli and "breakfast" places I frequent are open either from 6am or 7am and open until 8pm or later.

Many diners are 24 hours. Of course they have a great rep and steady customers; it's just that given their limited and never changing hours of operation, I won't be one of them.

Amazing food, very delicious. They have great salads and wraps and apparently the best burgers in Union yet I've never tried them. It is pretty small if you choose to dine-in. They have never messed up my order either. BUT, their customer service needs some work. They are always rude and it honestly stops me from coming here more often. The women who work here make you feel like you are an inconvenience for coming into the restaurant to get food.

Disappointed. This used to be my favorite breakfast spot but it has just become far too inconsistent. Every time I order here it's wrong. I ask for soft eggs and get brown eggs. I asked for onions in the hash browns last time I didn't get any this time I can count the number of onion specks in the tasteless potatoes. Some days the food is great and other days it sucks. I guess it depends on the cook. I don't appreciate waiting almost an hour and a half for my food to arrive only to be disappointed.

Great sandwiches BUT the service is HORRIBLE! The attitudes, the vibe they give off, the way they treat one another. They always look SO annoyed to deal with the customer. The only person with a positive attitude is the delivery driver. I've been ordering from here for a little over a year and am officially done with the place. The sandwiches are AMAZING but not worth the horrible attitude and service the employes give.

This place catered lunch for my office and it was delicious! The sandwiches were all delectable. I had the tuna on whole wheat and I totally recommend it. The orzo salad was the best I've ever had & the pasta salad was robust! My co-workers raved about the vegetable lasagna but I didn't have any. If I'm ever in the area- I will definitely stop by Cozy Corner for lunch!

This is a great place for a quick bite to eat. Quality food, good service, and not overpriced. I had the tuna fish sandwich while my friend had a rascal burger, both delicious! I have been back twice and have not been disappointed. It a small place with a "diner-like" feel. Definitely worth a shot!

I just ordered delivery from here for the first and last time. I ordered a turkey club from their "Gigantic Club Sandwiches" part of the menu and was disappointed to find that adding avocados to the sandwich was over a dollar extra, but I did it. I also ordered sweet potato fries because they are listed as a popular menu item. I ordered a sandwich and fries and it took over an hour for the food to arrive.

When I opened the bag I was disgusted. The bag was wet with condensation from the fries, which were cold. The napkins in the bag were useless, SOAKED with moisture. The fries were mushed into a blob of foil and had no form whatsoever. I tried one and it tasted like a shoe; I threw the fries right in the garbage. I would like to note that those sweet potato fries cost me $3.50.

The "Gigantic Club Sandwich" was ironically the smallest club sandwich I have ever seen in my life. It was somehow made with all the bad ingredients people hate in their sandwiches: shrunken Wonder Bread, shredded-snot textured lettuce and slimy deli turkey. My one dollar extra of avocado was a whole sliver's worth. I paid $8.10 for this masterpiece. Read the positive reviews of this place: people are saying crazy things like, "Oh I like the owner, but not the food." WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!?!?!

This place is such a hidden gem. It is much bigger than it looks on the outside. The food is extremely inexpensive and pretty tasty. We got basic eggs and toast and it came out really good! If you want cheap breakfast food then this is the place to go!

Okay, officially done ordering here. I have ordered here a several times because it's so close by my work. Less than 2 minutes away. Every single time I've gotten my food I've been annoyed after opening my meal. The customer service in store is okay but over the phone is horrible! The girls are so rude. The last time I sat in there to eat, over a month ago.

I watched one of the elder waitresses slice sandwich meat without gloves, sneak to eat a couple Oreos and then use her same hand to continue slicing meat. I immediately lost my appetite and threw out my food and promised to never go back but today time slipped by I was starving and decided to just order and hope for the best. I just received my order of chicken tenders, and the breading is almost black and with oil. I'm trying figure out why they would deliver this to me and think I would want to eat it. I'm trying to figure out why the chicken tenders are darker than my skin complexion.

I kind of need an explanation. The person who packed this meal up should've had enough common sense to say "hey, I think the oil needs to be changed, we cannot give this to anyone to eat" Very unacceptable It's nice the owner below tried to make amends by offering a free meal, but at this point after being disgusted several times, I'm not interested in spending money at a business who keeps getting it wrong.

Went there twice, 1st time we sat and no one came over. I went to the counter & was told someone would be over. No one came, after 15 mins we left. The next time, I went to the counter as soon as we came in. Was told someone would be over, finally 10 mins later someone did, we ordered. It took over 20 mins to receive our food. A gentleman behind us kept asking for his soup. Both times, people hustling to get the take out orders done and running to answering the phones. When the food finally arrived, I packed it to go.

I live near Union and I'm always on Rt 22. My husband and I didn't find this place until I purchased a voucher to come here. We wanted to try something new, so we figured we'd try this place. I have to say, they are VERY busy. The food was good and it had a laid back atmosphere. First impressions, it was confusing. When I walked in I probably looked like a "deer in headlights", I was so confused.

The store-front looks like it used to be a mechanic shop turned liquor store. So, it was surprising to see that inside it had a "diner" feel to it, except with lottery tickets and deli store. Would I go back? I don't think I would, just because of how busy they seemed. I felt like I was being a bother if I needed to pay the tab or ask for a container to go.

One of the employees was literally making food, answering the phone, and taking orders. They're a small family business and I completely understand they're doing their best to run it. My husband and I fully support small businesses. That's why I'm giving them a 4 out of 5 stars because the food was good and they were somewhat friendly, I just wish they could maybe hire more people (since they seem under staffed) or have a better system. Personally, this is just my experience. Everyone is different and may have a different experience than mine. So, I recommend trying this place out if you haven't yet.

This place has a lot of great reviews on Grubhub, so I had really high hopes that this would be my go-to breakfast place. I was beyond disappointed! The good: they have a digital way of placing an order. The bad: the estimated pick up times suck, and they don't prepare the order the way you indicate in the order. The ugly: I watched the woman who readies the order for pick up touch: paperbags, a carton, several receipts, a stapler, her clothes, and the countertop. all before putting her hands on a bagel (putting cream cheese on it and cutting it, and I'm not talking fingertips). Bonus 1: I LOVE waiting 30 minutes to get over easy eggs, soggy toast, and canned corned beef hash without the crispy crust top- especially when I ordered "over medium" and specifically asked for the corned beef hash to be cooked well done so it's crispy. but hey. to get over medium and the crispy top on corned beef hash, it's supposed to take over 30 minutes, right? Bonus 2 conversation: Me: How much longer? Woman: 2 minutes Me: Ok, bc I've watched several orders go out before mine. Man: Do you have a menu Woman 2: Grubhub JUST sent this to us.

Me thinking to myself: yeah, 25 minutes ago. Me outloud: No. Grubhub is the reason I even knew about this place. If you can't handle a Grubhub order that got me here, why would I come back? AND.What I'm grossed out about is Woman 1 touching stuff. Man: but ma'am, she's not touching food. Me: YES, SHE IS. Man: no, she isn't. Me: I WATCHED HER touch then touch a bagel. Man: *walks away* Woman 1: *goes back to readying bags* Is it all bad? no. Just know what to order: you can get bagels & muffins quickly. As for me? NEVER AGAIN.

The thing I do like about this place is the owner is very friendly and you can tell that he really thinks of his customers as family and wants to make them happy. (Which is where my 3 stars come from) The thing I don't love about it is the food. The last time I ate here my eggs were super runny i don't like to send my food back at restaurants and was hungry so I ate them.

Bad mistake I got super super sick! But I decided to give them a second chance I ordered Belgium waffles for pick up w again two eggs scrambled. The eggs were good but the waffle was terrible. They should take it off the menu because it is so tasteless and tough. I would legit rather have an ego waffle than this. I guess they stay around due to being in town for so long and having loyal customers. I don't see them making any faithful new ones.

I like the feel of this place. It has the atmosphere of an old world diner. No nonsense service is another plus. So far I have tried their Chicken Noodle soup, Philly Cheese Steak and their suicide wings. The first two were pretty good but the wings were AMAZING. I like spicy stuff. Their suicide sauce gives you a pretty good kick but is not overwhelming. I have been looking for a place that served fresh cooked wings with the right tenderness and I score these folks 5/5.

The neighborhood lunch counter, Cozy Corner has been around forever. The setting is very 60's, with the spinning counter seats and a few tables. My guess is that they probably do far more deliveries ($1 fee, no minimum), and they are good (but not perfect) at packing their orders complete. I guarantee that unless you've recently been paroled, the food won't impress you-- it is, however, as-advertised and reasonably well-made.

Their club sandwiches are almost always my choice, and I keep coming back. Parking can be a bit tight in their lot, and blocking a lane of traffic to park on the street isn't a good idea. I've never found the crew who works here particularly friendly, but the delivery guys usually are.
