Catering By The Christy

Went to a wedding here and had considered it for a retirement party. I'm glad I changed my mind, the venue was just OK because there are a lot of restrictions on how you can decorate.

Good award ceremony held there. Good presenters, main presenter did his job but really odd unrelatable jokes from him (only his friends laughed). ok place for events the servers did a very good job but the food was very rough. seemed like leftover pig slop. Very clean place and the upkeep of the tables, accessories, and lights are good. Ok place for ok service.

The event coordinator was extremely helpful and flexible with making sure our day was exactly how we wanted it to be. The serving staff was incredibly friendly and made sure we were taken care of. They even offered to refill our desserts that we purchased from a different vendor. We chose to do an hors d'oeuvres buffet for our late night wedding and the food was delicious and perfect for our setting. Great experience overall!

I DJ'ed a wedding reception here on 12/18/21. The staff at the Christy were absolutely awesome, they went out of their way to help the family, the photo booth, me (the DJ) and truly did everything possible to make the wedding perfect for this couple. Even when it was time for dinner and a person giving a speech was nowhere to be found they were patient as we held up dinner for 250+ people. Speaking of dinner, for this large of a group they broke records with getting everyone though the food line.

I think they served 250+ in about 15 minutes. The food was great and they quickly got the dance floor cleaned off so we could proceed to dances. I've performed at a lot of venues (well over 100 in 18 years) and I've never left this kind of review. The Christy made a great impression. Highly recommended!

The Christy did an awesome hosting my wedding. They were very accommodating and quick to respond to all my questions. Everyone had a great time at my wedding thanks to Kim's help (one of the coordinators) and the rest of the staff! I would definitely recommend this place for a venue and it was affordable too. The food was also excellent.

The food for my son's wedding reception was wonderful. The bride and groom wanted a burger / hot dog bar, and not all catering companies provide that type of buffet. Was super happy The Christy did! It was delicious!

We have gone to the Christy for the past couple years for their NYE events, so we knew this had to be the place for our wedding reception! The price was really reasonable compared to several other places we checked out. The professionalism of everyone we worked with just made our wedding reception so special! Thank you to Kim for working with us and helping us along the way and accommodating all our little changes at the last minute.

Thank you to Deb who was our manager that evening who helped to keep the evening running smooth as well as the wait staff and bartenders keeping us fed and drinks full! The food was so delicious and we got many compliments on the food.some saying it was the best food they had for a wedding before! We will definitely be back for NYE and recommend to anyone we can to use The Christy for their banquet needs! Thank you so much again!

We had Catering by the Christy cater our wedding at the World's Fair Pavilion in Forest Park and couldn't have been happier with their work. Karen worked with us months before to determine the menu, layout, and all the staffing details. She was very responsive if we had any questions and offered great advice. Catering by the Christy was a great price point and brought in everything for our big day - the tables, chairs, bar, linens, stage, and more.

Our guests were very complimentary of the food and service. I would 10/10 recommend Catering by the Christy for your event! They are easy to work with and do a wonderful job. Thank you - we are so happy to have worked with you!

We held my daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception at The Christy. The entire staff was professional, courteous, and efficient. The food was great, and they were so accommodating in providing vegan menu options for a few of our friends and family members.

Very nice place. Very clean and the food is ok to. The management staff and servers are awesome. Great bar service. They had cocktails, coffee extra pictures of water and tea, soda. Every thing you'd need.

We used The Christy for our wedding catering at the NEO on Locust, and they were absolutely wonderful! Karen helped us with our booking - she was knowledgeable, quick to respond for any questions, and extremely nice. And then Kim ran the show for our big day! She was awesome in guiding us on those finalizing details for the day (from the menu, down to our decor), and she and her team did such a great job with bringing our reception ideas to life.

Everyone was courteous and well-organized for the day, and the food was delicious! I even had some guests tell me they were still dreaming about how good the food was days later.;) It was very reasonably priced for everything that we got, and I'm so thankful we decided to have them. Thank you so much again for everything! We loved working with you!

We had a reception at the Christy Banquet center for our daughter. The hall was nicely decorated and the food was very good. However the distribution of the cake was mismanaged. The bride ordered an extra tier of wedding cake, approximately 70 extra pieces of cake for her husband and family. At the end of the evening we were unhappy to discover that all the extra cake was gone and we were unable to take cake home for the family.

A great spot for a wedding! We recently attended a wedding at the Christy and it was a great venue to have it at. Located at the end of Gravois in South St. Louis, it can house one event at a time which makes it more special for your night. Little bit of trivia - found out it use to be the Firefighter's Banquet Facility. We arrived early as we weren't sure about parking and I'm glad we did as they have a small lot and I wasn't sure where I would park if I hadn't gotten into the lot. Leaving the facility was confusing, with it sitting on the corner with many stoplights, just be careful figuring out where to go.

We were greeted upon entry and immediately shown to the room which was decorated from head to toe in the gorgeous wedding colors. The bar eventually opened and had two drafts, plus various drink options. I do wish more places would have pineapple juice, like they do cranberry, for the added drink option. The buffet was very good! The Ron & Shirley salad was amazing, I wish I had that to eat on a daily basis.

I liked that they offered rye & wheat rolls in addition to the regular white to give it more variety. The potatoes were to die for! They also had a pasta side, with chicken and roast beef as the main options. All very good! I will definitely recommend this banquet center for people in the future looking for a great venue for their special day.
