I have a mixed review. the waiter, appetizer and drinks were great. the fired pickles were delicous, and the margaritas hit the spot. but the entrees were a little lacking, especially for the price. my wife's sandwich was flat as a pancake, no sauce, and mine was ok, but the coleslaw and potato salad came in a lump in a Styrofoam cup, I kind of felt like it was take out. over all it was just ok. but for being at the stockyards I expected more.

We thought we would give Riscky's another try, we were there about 5 months ago. They haven't gotten any better. It started with the hostess, she was rude, no smile, she barely had eye contact. My partner got all you can eat ribs which were okay but he had to ask where his fries were and he had to ask for more ribs each time. The waitress could have asked if he wanted more and said I'll bring you more.
I got Riscky's Famous chopped beef brisket sandwich. Famous LOL famous for what? The bun was almost mushy, it could have been toasted or warm but it was neither. The meat had no flavor and was more like blended then chopped. The service was okay but slow. We went to the Riscky's downtown on Main Street. I don't think we will go there again just nothing special about the place.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch, just a couple sandwiches with sides. Pretty average meal overall, had better and have had worse. Turkey sandwich was good, the bun was disappointing, and seems like it's just an afterthought. Cole slaw side was very good! Chopped brisket sandwich was sort of bland, with a vey Smokey taste, which got better as I kept adding more of their BBQ sauce. Again, the bun seems to be pretty cheap and bland.
The fries were better than average, but not great. As a quick, average-priced place, I would go back. The ambiance is nice, and seems clean. If your looking for a better-than-average or special BBQ outing, keep looking!

Save your money. This place is not good. Wait staff make excuses about why the food isn't good. They don't cook their ribs but have them brought in every morning. Not sure what that means. Our ribs had no meat and what was on there was burnt. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they tried making it right but the food was just not up to standard for downtown FW.
Our okra was the best thing but subpar. If the potato salad is made from scratch they need a new recipe but I am thinking it is not fresh. No flavor or seasoning on the green beans. We will not return.

I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was good nothing spectacular. It comes with one barbecue sauce flavor. I was not impressed by the potato salad. I'll still come again to try some of their other barbecue in the future. The staff was extremely friendly and the bathrooms were well-kept especially since I was there on a very busy day.

Fort Worth Stockyard location has open aire dining. It's great for seeing the action and near the train, gun fight show and right next to the street for the cattle drive to see the famous Long Horns. All you can eat Beef Ribs and Rib Eye is my favorite. Rattle snake bites for appetizer and bread pudding for dessert.

Found this restaurant on the Yelp app, this restaurant has a great location. Very closer by the Main Street area and plaza. The host found me a table and suggested me the classic margarita. I ordered the three meat platter but I forgot all about the ribs. However the meats I ordered were tender and savory and the portions of the food were big and generous.
I wish the bbq sauce was a little more smoky and spicy but that is just my personal preference. The server was very patient and the food was served fast and hot. The restaurant was busy and the staff was nice and very observant to customer needs. On my next visit I will try the ribs!

Loved it here! The service, atmosphere and food were all top notch. I had the beef brisket taco's and they were beyond amazing! The beans that came with my partners brisket sandwich were so incredible, that it's made my partner and I completely obsessed with american style beans now! We order them everywhere we go since. Highly recommend for some great food!

This place rates 4-stars pretty easily. Pork ribs and turkey were really good. Sausage was good. Sauce they provide is sweet and has an apple taste to it. Fried okra and potato salad were great, beans were good but a bit watery. Just over $20 for a lot of food, which was reasonable in my mind. Touristy area but I'd def return.

Total disappointment for Texas bbq, The ribs were nice size but had absolutely no flavor whatsoever, they have an "all you can eat" rib dinner, so you can imagine the ribs are not fresh since they have to keep them coming. Pulled pork was very dry and tasted microwaved. Baked beans came out cold and had no flavor. AVOID THIS PLACE

This place is truly authentic Texas! You cannot beat it's unlimited beef ribs for the price. I knew I was full but just wanted to keep eating because of how much I was enjoying it. If you want truly experience Texas at it's finest, this is a must have right at Stockyards! Just FYI this is not Risky's Steakhouse.

Came here for lunch while visiting the Stockyards. There was about an hour wait because it is a popular place - the larger the party, the longer the wait. We were kind of full from a late breakfast so we ordered a BBQ platter, and a couple apps. The shoestring onions were great! The sweet corn puffs, in my opinion, didnt have enough corn or corn flavor.
Over all kind of bland but sweet, if that makes sense. The beef ribs and brisket were delicious! The bread pudding is definitely the way to finish your meal. Our server was friendly and service was fairly quick considering how busy they were.

There were two of us, and we both ordered the chopped BBQ brisket sandwich with fries. Honestly, the fries were better than the sandwich. We also ordered the peach cobbler, and it wasn't that great either. I think I might have seen 4 tiny pieces of peach, and the crust was thick and doughy. It would have been tasteless without the ice cream. Our server was Christiana, and she was friendly and attentive, which is the main reason I'm giving them 3 stars.

An absolute must when exploring Fort Worth Stockyard! The place is always buzzing with people inside and outside. They have "all you can eat" beef ribs for $15! When they bring another portion of ribs - it is only of the ribs, and not the side dishes. The meat is falling off the bone, so soft and flavorful, easy (and awesomely messy) to eat! The bucket of fish is not great though - some pieces are good and feel like filet of fish, while others are probably the ends of fish and very gooey/slimy- a very disagreeable feeling in the mouth. Burgers also suck little - were dry and small. The beer though was cold and fresh on a hot day.

I almost didn't come here because of the negative reviews. I'm certainly glad I did end up coming. I didn't experience any of the negatives from other folks. The food was amazing, the service was great, the price was reasonable and the restaurant vibe was exactly what I was looking for. I had the three meat platter with Brisket, Jalapeno smoked sausage and smoked cat fish. Sides of Mac n cheese, Red beans and fried okra.
Everything was outstanding. Brisket was tender (fork cut), smoked catfish was served with a honey mustard that paired perfectly with fish and the sausage was perfectly cooked. A ton of food for $20. Enough for lunch the next day. Do yourself a favor and check it out yourself. Well worth it.

Very good bbq! I had the 3 meat combo I shared with my husband. The meats were very tender. My favorite meat was the brisket. It was so juicy. The sides were just ok. The beans were a bit bland and definitely missing that kick that you usually get from a bbq place. The potato salad was probably the least impressive, very sour, it has far too much dill and mustard. The Mac and Cheese was their best side I had but it was a bit basic. Overall I would definitely recommend this place. I can't wait to try more of their main dishes!

Looking for a spot to just grab a drink with a friend, we wandered into Risky's while roaming around downtown Fort Worth. It was exactly what we were looking for! There was ample seating at the bar and the bartender was quick to take our drink orders without being pushy. Noticing that we were going to stay awhile she also suggested a snack and we took her up on the offer.
A few goblets of beer and an order of Fried Pickles later we were having a great time! The beer was cold, they food was tasty, and the atmosphere was relaxing. It was wonderfully Texas. Risky's hit the spot, in more ways than one, and I can't wait to return to try a full meal.

Really good food but long time to wait for food. We sat down rather quickly 15 minute wait but they told us 45. We were outside and our waitress was working her butt off! Seemed like a shortage in servers. We felt there were only 4 people working all of the outside. Food took awhile to come out, like 30 minutes, which was expected because they were so busy. Regardless, we were on vacation and had time. Meals were very good, just wished there was a little more meat on the sandwiches.
I had the salad and that was enormous! The seasoning on the chicken was very good. At the end everyone was full, and we just made sure we tipped our waitress well since she was working so hard.

Our server, Lettuce was legit the best guy. He recommended a great platter for us to share and was spot on with the meat options. We weren't terribly impressed with the sides but in Texas I hear it's all about the grill anyway. Lettuce made the experience unique and we would return based on the brisket and service alone. This is a quiet gem, set right off the square. Check it out before you leave the city.
