I am so sorry we didn't take any pictures but this company catered an outdoor picnic for us yesterday for 100 people at Bees and Blooms in Santa Rosa. They did an amazing job - great food, super easy to deal with, plenty of everything - everyone loved their food and friendlyness - highly recommended!

The best Bbq ever. I've followed the owner from when he had his restaurant on Summerfield Rd by Howarth Park. It was our family tradition going there after the park. His smoked brisket is amazing. I have ordered food for parties now that there is no store front. My guests rave about it. Prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

We had Jim and his team cater our wedding, and the food and service were so great! We had the best tri-tip, chicken, pasta salad, and black beans (of course!) Jim was pleasant to work with and communicated very well with myself and my wedding planner. The food was great and he came highly recommended from friends.

We just had Black Bean cater an event this weekend and they were awesome! Delicious food from the brisket to the chicken and ribs, their sauce is great too. Sides were good as were the desserts. We would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them highly. Good service, prompt and helpful plus very tasty food! They made it easy all around.

I called them because of previous ratings on yelp :) I was not disappointed! They were amazing! The food was absolutely delicious (probably the best brisket i've had) and the service was top notch. Katt was super prepared, so helpful and my guests just loved both her and the food! I would absolutely hire them again. They made my backyard BBQ of 30 guests a very memorable event that went off super smoothly and was incredibly delicious. Thank you Jim & Katt!

Great food and a fair price. Black Bean catered our wedding and all went well. I'd use them again if I needed catering in northern CA.

I promised myself I would only write positive reviews on Yelp but I feel others need to know this. I have had the food from Black Bean BBQ on a couple occasions and loved it both times. His hospitality and his staff have been equally amazing. And it really is the best Brisket i've ever had. That being said. My fiance and I wanted to book them for our wedding this year because we trusted the food and we knew the set up would work for us.

We got a hold of Jim with an email through the website and let him know the details of the wedding. We got a hold of him on 11/7/2017 on the phone and It really helped to hash out some details with him with something other than text or email. He was even willing to, "Learn at our expense", side items that he didn't have on his web page, like roasted veggies and such.

We felt fine with his adventurous attitude since we knew he could knock anything out of the park. The problem though, started when we had already sent all the info he needed (guest count, menu items, date, time etc.) to make a quote for the wedding. Today is 1/17 and the last I have heard from Jim was an email on 11/20 when he asked for details about the wedding that I had already sent him.

As of writing this post and after voicemail's and emails I have yet to hear back from him since that date. This has been really disheartening since we wanted this food for our friends and family but that type of lack of communication is far too unnerving for planning a wedding. Though I did mark this as a 2* review I still highly recommend the food and service Jim provides.

This is about my personal experience and I wanted to put it out there to any would-be customer that communication is key and I hope they don't have the same problem we had. If I find any new information about why this happened Ill be sure to update the review.

We were planning for a small wedding in the redwoods and after sampling their food and talking to Jim, we booked them for our event. Jim was a joy to talk and the food was delicious. On our wedding day, the staff came on time and were courteous. There was a miscommunication about the provision of drinks but the staff happily and readily fixed the problem. Our attendees raved about the food! Highly recommend Black Bean BBQ!

Amazing food! Very professional! The brisket was amazing! The bbq sauce was so good as well! Would def recommend for your next event! Staff was so nice and easy to work with! Great prices too!

Had a party for about 50 people. Jim Was very easy to deal with. GREAT TEXAS BBQ! Everyone raved about the food. Plenty to eat great flavor, didn't need any sauce, but it was available. Bar none the best Brisket I have ever had. Tender and juicy. His staff was very nice people and very helpful.

They were catering a private event at a winery which we were not part of. Some time after the private party ended they had cleaned up and were leaving as they turned the corner we waived them down and offered to buy what he had left. He and his staff were wonderful. Completely set us up with everything we needed. It was wonderful, I only wish I had crashed the party so I could of tried the other food he had. Would hire them in a heart beat

I hired jim pretty last minute when our bbq guy last minute cancled. We had a wine run at gracianna winery with my husband's car club nor cal st and I was in a bind, jim and his helper (so sorry bad with names) were there to save the day. They were so nice and accommodating. The brisket was AMAZING! And after talking with them I found out the meat they use is grass fed and comes from a humane farm! Super bonus. I highly recommend for anyone! Great prices as well.

I hired Jim to cater my wedding on 6/21/14 and the food blew me away! Hands down the best bbq I have had in a LONG time. We had chicken, ribs, and brisket. My 1.5 year old daughter refuses to eat meat but she just could not get enough of the chicken. And the brisket was AMAZING. It is now 3 weeks after my wedding and people are still raving about the food. I think that may have been the highlight of the night haha

Jim and Black Bean BBQ did an amazing job catering our rehearsal dinner in Sonoma. We had the brisket, chicken, and ribs. Everyone raved about the food, especially the brisket, which was one of the best briskets I have ever had. Our guests were going up for seconds and thirds! Black Bean BBQ catered twice for the company I work for. It was excellent. They offered great service and the food was outstanding. The ribs and the Brisket were to die for. They offered salad (really good with snap peas, croutons, Parmesan, tomatoes.), BBQ style black beans, BBQ ribs, Brisket and Chicken. For desert homemade Brownies and Cookies. All that and the price was really affordable. I would definitely recommend Black Bean BBQ Catering.
