In 1963, Papa Graffeo opened a little restaurant on the Northside of Birmingham which would have a menu and atmosphere to appeal to all ages. In this restaurant, Papa believed in giving his clients nice food at great prices. In order to get nice food you must begin with the finest of ingredients, he taught. The focus would be on consistent performance of Basics as opposed to gimmickry.

Char House Foods catered are recent Rehearsal Dinner (July 2020) at the B'ham Botanical Gardens. It was fabulous! They accommodated are several changes in 1/2 the numbers expected. Food was delicious! I have used them before and they did not disappoint again. The Beef Brisket was so good! The Key Lime Pie also fantastic! Two thumbs up!

I've used Char-House three years in a row for a 200+ person event at my company. Louis and staff are very easy to work with and have easily made accommodations for my requests. They have always been very responsive via email during the ordering process. Their menu selection is large and the prices are very reasonable. On delivery day, they are punctual and the food is superb. Everything you need is included from forks and plates to ice and cups. Nothing is forgotten. True professionals.

We ate at this restaurant just last night. The owner, Isaac, is personable, welcoming and knows what it takes to run an A+restaurant.great food, waiters, attentiveness and great ambience. So- nobody does it like the Italians- right? RIGHT! Louis and Vickie proudly carry on the tradition that Papa Graffeo started years ago. Here's the trifold description of Char House catering: 1. Mom & Pop attention to quality and detail 2. Old world comfort food meets neuvo cuisine and elegance 3. Simply Fabulous & Filling Food! Yep- these folks are among the few remaining who still subscribe to the old school philosophy- that's how they've been in business for so long.
While their staples like homemade Italian sausage (Original recipe from Sicily) and assorted pastas remain on their menu, you'll also find that delicious contemporary delights like bacon wrapped dates, grace it as well. They're pros at catering everything from a taligate party with savory hot wings and steaming sliders to a formal dinner featuring mouth watering beef tenderloin. They'll supply everything you need from silver chafers, to serving staff.
On top of that- they not only set it up- they CLEAN it up. Both our business, and our family, have used them exclusively for the past 15 years- and we'd never consider calling anyone else. P.S- Mr. Louis does an INCREDIBLE moist turkey and savory dressing for the holidays.just get your heirloom platter ready, and have them deliver to your back door. they are also very good at keeping secrets;)
